The first inspirational book filled bedroom is a simple serene space where the bookshelves run the whole width of the room above a bench seat, bathed in sunlight.

The unique wall sconces on either side of this modern platform bed provide light for both partners to do a little bedtime reading. A contemporary snaking bookshelf design holds a moderate selection on standby.

This really is a headboard feature wall suited to book lovers. With ten LED-lit cubby holes, suited perfectly to displaying book stacks, this is a thing of beauty and practicality. Though, maybe those higher out-of-reach shelves should be just for those out-of-rotation old books that you just can’t seem to part with. A tangle of bedroom pendant lights provide the bedtime reading light here, along with a pair of Vibia Slim 0920 pendants over the bedside units.

Not many of us have a sprawling bedroom of these proportions but if we did we’d sure like to fill it with a home library like this one. One entire wall has been filled top to bottom with bespoke shelving. An additional unit, to hold even more books, runs behind the headboard. This low-level console acts as a functional device to section the sleep space off from the walkway to the library area.

Another home library style bedroom but this time one of more modest proportions. Many of us could make this type of layout work in our bedrooms – though we might have to sacrifice our wardrobes! Hey, who needs clothes when we’ve got all these books to read whilst tucked up in bed? A dual head directional floor lamp provides an opportunity to light up the page and the reading stacks at the same time.
Over-bed shelving can be a space saving option for book storage in a small scale bedroom.

The open-backed bookcase in this industrial decor scheme has been wall mounted to maintain all of the floor space, A clear bubble chair hangs in the home library area, and the shape of this is echoed in the ball shades of the floor lamp by another bedside chair.

This beautiful grey and white modern bedroom scheme utilizes a barn door to conceal a study area where reference books occupy recessed shelving. Out by the bed, more bookcases run beneath and between undressed windows. Each of the charcoal grey towers hold unexpected flashes of yellow and white, lining random sections.

An enormous uniform layout of white boxes make up this bedroom library wall. A long desk has been built into this arrangement, where books can be studied. A couple of the cubes have been populated with display pieces, like colourful decorative vases and the Eames Bird replica. Three cupboards are concealed behind sliding doors, one of which holds a TV monitor that can be viewed from the bed when the owner is not in the mood for reading one of their many books!

The symmetrical roof-shaped canopy over this bed has made playful use of the rooms sloped ceiling angle, exaggerating it rather than trying to disguise it. The resulting triangular void would have been wasted space if not filled with this jaunty little bookcase. The bed resides inside of the cosy house-shaped den surrounded with more accessible book shelving options.

Another loft bedroom, only this one is of tiny proportions. Four basic shelves of decreasing lengths make maximum use of the awkward space.
A child’s bedroom should always have some sort of book storage. Here, two long units are wall mounted in a staggered layout to create an nice feature.
