In Penza, Russia, this 83.75 square metre apartment interior comes alive with a riot of teal and pink colour from the sofa. Clerestory windows bring borrowed light from the living room into the home entryway, behind the partition wall.

Exposed electrical lines and an interesting dining room chandelier continue the industrial vibe of the brick wall. A carafe tops the dining table, and there’s a questionable choice of typographical art work for a family home… But perhaps the message is lost in translation for the youngest family member!

Pink decorative wall hooks decorate the entryway side of the partition wall. The faux brickwork wallpaper wraps around to complete the effect.

Wooden closets provide concealed storage for surplus items. A pink decorative wall mirror brings another pop of pastel colour to the wall by the entry door.

A teal pouf provides a block of contrast at the foot of the pink elliptical mirror.

An L-shaped kitchen design features raw timber cabinets at its base, and white wall cabinets to lighten and open things up at head height. Monochrome mosaic tiles feature a swiss cross design placed as a decorative border.

The kitchen has a small peninsula that forms a breakfast bar on one side. Borrowed light comes into the space from a glass wall bedroom design.

On the other side of the glass partition wall, the bedroom is a peaceful haven of soft pink and white.

Artists wooden mannequins have been painted up as quirky pink shelf decor. Raw timber boxing at the glass wall reveals its true function as housing for a privacy curtain.

A cartoon figurine serves as a book end on the herringbone wood floor.

When drawn, the teal privacy curtain gives the lightly decorated room a whole new cosy look.

A wooden hanging rail replaces the wardrobe in the bedroom–entryway closets catch the overspill.

The kid’s bedroom design continues the pink accent theme with an Eames elephant kid’s seat and desk chair. Bright yellow elements up the energy.

A decorative yellow wall runs the length of the room on one side, which complements an activity corner of yellow climbing holds and rungs.

The kid’s study area is designed to suit the needs of the whole family, with shelves for the parents book collection situated here.

Swiss cross motifs return inside the bathroom design, around the vanity area, where a pink and wood bathroom vanity light drops in some colour.

A black toilet vibes with the dark stone bathroom basin and the monochrome mosaic tiles.

Next we travel to Moscow, Russia, to this fresh and fun 82 square metre family home.

A bright orange lounge chair stands by a wood and glass TV wall unit, with a matching wood effect media storage unit mounted beneath. The floating furniture makes the perfect central storage point for books, DVDs and games, and makes a modern hearth of sorts on which to display family photographs.

Greige kitchen units provide a soft visual stop at the end of the long pale room.

A round dining table is situated upon the tiled kitchen floor, along with clear perspex dining chairs that maintain the light look of the space.

The white marble table top matches with the kitchen backsplash.

Aside from the pale grey floor tile of the kitchen-diner and home entryway, herringbone wood flooring runs throughout the rest of the apartment. The natural timber creates a stylishly warm and homey atmosphere.

A pastel pink ceiling and a cheeky mural add character and personality to the parents bedroom. A black platform bed dominates the space with a large winged headboard.

Above the bed, a dual headed light extends low over each bedside unit.

The wall mounted TV is given a blue media unit underneath, which contrasts boldly with the gentle pink decor elements.

Curvaceous lines of an elliptical wall mirror are echoed in a unique floor lamp.

Blue-green elements rule a lively bathroom scheme, where a turquoise tinted shower screen ties in with a turquoise basin and countertop design.

Blue wall panels back the toilet wall.

Adorable decor fills the kid’s bedroom. A house shaped bed takes up centre stage, whilst pom pom trimmed toy storage baskets and turquoise soft furnishings bring tactile elements to the room. A giraffe art print introduces a yellow aspect to the colour palette that is carried through into a yellow star shaped cushion on the playmat.

A Miffy kids’ light emits a friendly glow at the edge of the play space. A desk area is set up on the other side of the room for projects.

A modern bathroom vanity colours the powder room.

The utility room is situated next door to the entryway powder room.
