Interior and Furniture Designs: Creamy Home Interior With Curvaceous Staircase Design & Courtyard

Cream decor and a curvaceous staircase shape this tranquil interior design, visualised by Lulu Lee. The sweeping staircase design plays a major role in the character of a luxurious yet understated living space, alongside a cosy conversation pit and smooth architectural arches. Creamy concrete washes across walls, ceilings and floors to build a scheme that is solid and soothing. Concrete reverts back to its more industrial form in the compact courtyard design, where grey slabs climb a double height void. Natural stone brings luxe to the kitchen design, workspace and large bathrooms of the home, through a marble island, unique desk, designer bathtub and high-end double vanity units.

The unique staircase design winds down through the double height living space, twisting to a stop by the mouth of a modern fireplace.

An alternative sitting area is fashioned right into the side of the raised concrete platform, where it merges with a set of cast concrete steps.

To the left, a compact courtyard design acts as a light well for the living room.

Sunlight pours into the courtyard through an edge-to-edge glass ceiling. The sculptural chair is the Vic rocking chair in its natural colourway.

A beanbag chair sits opposite the modern rocking chair, next to a small side table for books. Minimalist modern wall sconces brightly serve each seat with reading light, and illuminate the whole courtyard after dark. A small lamp lights a tiny rolling hillside by the deck.

Concrete slabs bridge a grey pebble bed over the other half of the calming zen courtyard design, where a majestic bonsai tree grows. The tree is perfectly framed inside of an archway to the living room, creating a picturesque natural green vista.

The stepping stones lead to another opening in the multifaceted courtyard, where they flow onto floor slabs of the same material.

The rounded conversation pit seating beautifully complements the spiral staircase design, with tapered sofa cushions imitating each tapered wooden tread.

A less formal lounge is decorated in the same soothing creamy tones, but this time with a more relaxed modern sofa on a regular natural rug.

A stone side table, floor lamp and hexagonal coffee table bring in unique designer touches.

Dark wooden beams separate off the kitchen space under its own unique identity. The kitchen island is clad with a wooden front plate to complement the dark wood ceiling aesthetic.

Moving on into the first bedroom, a grey upholstered bed is matched by an end of bed seat. A tall glass vase adds a dramatic spray of greenery from a low lying bedside shelf.

The next neutral bedroom scheme is lifted by a stroke of blue across the bed runner. A modern end of bed bench is dressed with contrasting scatter cushions.
